How we research

RoadKitLab researches product specifications, intended use, compatibility requirements, seller information, product availability and relevant market signals when they are available. We compare products around the problem they are designed to solve rather than simply repeating headline specifications.

How products are selected

We prioritize products with a clear automotive use case and enough information to compare meaningfully. Selection may consider compatibility, practical usefulness, product type, listed features, relative value and evidence of buyer interest. A high commission does not automatically make a product a recommendation.

Hands-on testing

We do not describe a product as personally tested unless RoadKitLab actually performed that testing. When a guide is based on research and seller information, we say so clearly. Seller-provided specifications and claims should be verified on the current product listing before purchase.

Affiliate independence

RoadKitLab may earn a commission when a reader purchases through an affiliate link, at no extra cost to the reader. Affiliate compensation does not remove our responsibility to explain compatibility concerns, tradeoffs, downsides or reasons a product may not suit a buyer.

Prices and availability

Prices, discounts, shipping terms and availability can change by country, currency, seller and promotion. When we show a price captured during an update, we label it as a price at that update and direct readers to check the current listing.

AI-assisted workflow

RoadKitLab may use AI-assisted tools to organize product-feed data, identify comparison angles, structure drafts and improve consistency. We do not treat automation as product experience. Product names, listed prices, affiliate links, compatibility cautions and seller claims are checked against the source data used for the article before publication.

Updates and corrections

Product information changes. We may update articles when specifications, availability, compatibility information or our assessment changes. Readers can use our contact form to flag a factual error or suggest a correction.
